Skills required for New Era development

I would truly appreciate input from anyone in this news group doing New Era development regarding the following questions: 1) Does having previous Informix 4GL experience help or hurt a prospective New Era programmer? 2) Does each memeber of the development team need to have strong C++ skills? 3) Does each member of the team need to have strong OOD and OOP skills? 4) With respect to previous questions, could a New Era development team be made up of a mix of 4GL programmers and C++ programmers, with the C++ programmers contributing the OOD and OOP skills.
