ODBC very slow

If I try to connect a informix database (Informix Online V7.10) using ODBC 16 bits driver (delivered with NewEra 2.20) and MsQuery 16 bits, retrieve table name take 1 or 2 seconds (the database have 175 tables). But, If I repeat this operation using ODBC 32 bits driver and MsQuery 32 bits (version 8.0, delivered with MsOffice 97), that take 30 seconds ! I try different driver: Informix CLI 2.5 (from Informix CLI); Informix 2.80 (from Informix CLI SDK(?)) and Intersolv 3.01 (also from Informix CLI SDK(?)). Same result. I don't install something special, just use setup program. Any idea? David Derumier
