Hey Jonathan, I have read about what they refer to the version 7.31 of IDS PREPARE can be made in the SPL. I could show where can apply for upgrate this version, I work with version 7.30 and have it interested me because I do various jobs that are based on the PREPARE. Thanks! Anabel

PREPARE and other Dynamic SQL features are NOT available in any of the 7.xx product line. You will have to upgrade to the latest version, IDS 11.50, in order to get this feature built in. You can install the ExecSQL Datablade in IDS 9.40, 10.00, or 11.10 to get similar features (though I think that the built in version in 11.50 is superior) but 7.31 does not even support datablades, so you have to at least upgrade beyond 7.31 to one the versions mentioned above.
