Remote connections..

Hi All, Here is my question. I have two databases on two different unix boxes. I am trying to connect database B from database A (from dbaccess). As soon as i select CONNECT option and enter login and passward for server B, it immediately says 'Disconnected' and waits there for about 3/4 minutes and then returns error 908 ( Attempt to connect to database server (xyz) failed ). The entries in sqlhosts (It's a tlitcp connection), /etc/services and /etc/hosts looks perfect and i am able to connect these servers using telnet either way. Its IDS 7.31 on Sun 5.7.
