linux execute prepared statement
Posted in 1999
We are trying to use Informix RDS on redhat 6.0. We have versions: rds 7.30uc1 on linux 2.2.5 (rh6.0) against IDS 7.30UC7-1 on the same machine, The problem is that the runner dumps core whenever we attempt to execute a prepared statement. Programs that do not execute prepared statements work fine. Here is an example program: ----------------------------------------------------------------- define sql_string char(128) main let sql_string = "create table testtable (tfield char(1))" prepare create_stmnt from sql_string execute create_stmnt end main ----------------------------------------------------------------- The command execute immediate sql_string works fine, but we need to prepare and execute so we can assign names dynamically. Prepared statements for update and insert also fail - in fact, any attempt to execute a prepared statement causes the runner to dump core. We have installed (in this order, all in one directory): csdk 2.30.uc1 rds 730.uc1 id 7.30.uc1 ids 7.30.uc7 We have sdk because we need to create a custom runner (when we figure out what we're doing wrong with this basic problem). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
