Hello! Sorry for dumb question, but can't find such simple thing in SQL reference. So how can I create user from SQL script? Something like 'CREATE USER xxxx ' isn't working and sys error around word 'USER'.

There is no such concept in Informix. -- Bye now, Obnoxio "... no bill is required as no value was provided." -- Christine Normile
You are kind of barking up the wrong tree. See the grant statement. grant <privs list> to "<username>" ; where user name is a user on the unix system. Also, since you seem to be new here is a good site: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v10/index.jsp Serge Kholod wrote: > Hello! > > Sorry for dumb question, but can't find such simple thing in SQL reference. > So how can I create user from SQL script? > Something like 'CREATE USER xxxx ' isn't working and sys error around word > 'USER'.

Informix users the OS user login verification to identify users, so you only have to worry about GRANTing priveleges to users. All OS users are recognized, their permissions are determined by GRANT commands. Art S. Kagel
