Subject: SEEKING INFORMATION FROM INFROMIX DEVELOPER Author: Patrick Date: 5/15/96 10:24 AM Hello, I have been tasked with finding out as much information as possible about Informix DBMS. Mainly I need to know which type of databases the product will support or does it provide it's own, >Of course it provides it's own, that's what the "DB" in DBMS, Database >Management System, stands for. It does not "support" other databases, >because it *IS* a database. It would appear you need to do some initial >research on your own and read up on DBMS's. the number of users it can accomodate, is it run in a client/server enviornment, query effeciency, cost?, and some info on run-time licensing. Any feedback would be deeply appreciated, and I thank you for your time. Peace, Patrick.
