Comparing databases

Have recently had need to export then re-import a large number of databases. Easy 'nuff, but I'm looking for a script that will compare two databases for consistency; the old database which was renamed after exporting, and the reimported version. (requires some extra space, but you can never be too safe) Couldn't find such a script on the IIUG page. Anyone written one of these already? Hate to re-invent the wheel, especially when all of my wheels turn out square... Oh...
