Post the exact error you get in the online.log.
Have you tuned your O/S kernel in keeping with the release notes
provided in your $INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333 ?
If you haven't please do so now.
Cross check your onconfig, the dbservername, nettype,
the environment: ONCONFIG, INFORMIXDIR, INFORMIXSERVER,
INFORMIXSQLHOSTS (include the path and the file name),
check your sqlhosts.
Now do an oninit -ivy, if you get an error after all this post the exact
error
from the online log and we shall carry on from there...;o)
