how to use function key

Hi friends , I want to write a program by 4gl which interactive with users , user can entry the items on the screen ( my terminal software is anzio , I use wy50 ) , I set the TERMCAP as informix/etc/termcap I want assign F7 to give up the input and clear the field on the screen and F11 to exit the program and F9 to begin the calculating . I use on key in the input statement , BUT I do not successful . Why and how can I successful ?
