Informix to resell 4Js as Informix Dynamic 4GL

Terry Lawlor told the UK Informix User Group (Infuse) yesterday that Informix will announce to day that it is to have a 4GL for Windows product. It turns out to be 4Js. Apparently Informix will support it themselves. Available from November. Sounds like a ringing endorsement and a recognition that 4GL is not dead. Interestingly, a big new OLTP project was described for some big outfit that uses IDS and 4GL. Apparently Informix recommends 4GL for mission-critical OLTP systems.
