Hi,
Does informix have some sort of system commit number (like Oracle)
that I can verify a backup after restoring onto another machine?
I would like to backup a system, get a CRC, check#, etc., do a restore
and recheck that CRC, check#, commit# on the newly restored backup to
see if they match.
Is that possible?
Thanks,
Michael

No. However, you can use the archecker utility to validate an archive tape.
It will read through the archive for internal consistency check for missing
pages, etc..
