Re: What Front End do you use with Informix?

MS Access will of course work for some types of products. Just make sure your users don't intend to print 100.000 invoices with imbeded graphics++ in one run, and want the data for the printing to be available within an hour or two and then want's to print that at a remote site. Also make sure they don't ever want to do anything else that involves too much processing of too much data, too many users+++ MS Access works for small things. It isn't the tool for larger systems. Where the limits are will be dependent on the application, the database +++ and can't easily be determined ahead of time. That's a major reason for using other tools for systems that you know will grow larger or even where there is even a remote chanse that they will some time. I would hate to have written a lot of MS Access applications and having to throw them away some time if I could have spent only a little more effort up front and keep the code even in a growing environement. In the end this makes me avoide MS Access for anything but ad hoc use.
