I think initially most informix people have a lot of "why" questions... As in 'why' does oracle do it like that... Oracle seems much more un-necessarily complex to some of us.... I am learning to not ask why with oracle... Just 'do'... Many oracle followers don't seem to know the 'why' like informix people do. Even at oracle training class from oracle... They were not able to answer questions on internals and such... Not bashing oracle... Just saying what I have experienced...
