No, the point is not the software and hardware, that takes no time. Anyone can throw a system together and call it a data warehouse. Of the eight weeks we only spend a small part of the time on the software and hardware. The focus is understanding the data and what the users really need to gain insight into their data. I have done these pilots with other databases and could do it with with any combination of hardware and software that is fast. It will still take about 8 weeks (most of that in user workshops) to understand the data and gain perspective on what users need to make better business decisions.
