problems with Informix Perform screens in Exceed

Dear all, I am having problems with Informix Perform (ISQL v.7.20.UD5, IDS v.7.30UC3) screens running through an Exceed xterm v.6.1.0.0. Every now and then the brackets around the fields in a detail table disappear when in "add" mode (but strangely not in "query" or "update" mode). This is on a form with a lot of code and I suspect that the Exceed session cannot cope with the amount of information. If this is the case, is there a way of tuning Exceed xterm sessions to deal better with such forms? Alternatively, do we need to structure our forms more carefully? Any thoughts most welcome.
