4GL OPTIONS PROBLEM

We need help with a problem we're having migrating to 7.1. I know it's our own fault, but... We've created some of our own 4GL library routines to get the current status of INPUT WRAP: on or off. We do this by looking at the variable inputwrap which is internal to one of the Informix libraries. We use this WRAP status in library functions. We can save away the current status, set it to what we need, then restore it so that the calling program isn't affected and doesn't need to do a new OPTIONS statement every time they call this function. With 7.1, that inputwrap internal variable no longer seems visible to the outside world. We now rely heavily on being able to determine the current WRAP status and our function to determine the current state affects several hundred modules. Does anybody know of another way to do this? Has the variable name simply changed? Has an Informix 4GL function been added that can tell us what state INPUT WRAP is in? (I know we've requested that functionality several years back). -Joel Schumacher
