Re: Job recruitment in comp.databases.*

I had this discussion via e-mail with Rudy Forester, who's company posts to comp.databases as a recruiting tool. At first, I too was annoyed one Monday morning to find one of the few newsgroups not overrun by stupid questions and crossposts about Peecees run over one page of subject lines because of half dozen posts by recruiters. But having tried PC newsreader software even with a local ethernet attached news server, I agree that it would be useless to deal with misc.jobs.* I would propose one of several alternatives: comp.databases.jobs comp.databases.[dbname].jobs comp.databases.jobs.[dbname] OR misc.jobs.databases.[dbname] Is the first alternative acceptable in the comp heirarchy? Is there support in these groups for the first alternative? Is anyone willing to take the lead on the newsgroup creation?
