Restoring logical logs

Hi, I currently backup my logical logs as they fill with ontape -a. I save them to a filesystem, so I have hundreds of little files containing the logical logs. I've made some experiences, and it seems like when I restore the logical logs, I have to uncompress/move my saved files one by one when ontape asks me if I want to restore logical log tapes. So, is there some sort of kick-ass program that could append a logical log backup to another ??? It would be great.
