Thanks in advance. : You may have already checked these things off, but I'll try anyway. : - Did you make sure that the 'services' file on your local DOS machine : contains the port entry for the 'sqlexec' service on your remote Informix : server?(This file is usually found in \\NETMANAG or \\NETMANAG\\ETC on the local : machine and /etc on the remote machine) : - Do you have at least 450k of conventional memory available after you : boot up?(you need at least this much for Informix Viewpoint for Windows) : - Do you have a copy of the 'llsqlwd.dll' (or whatever the name of that : file is) in your working directory for Viewpoint? Hi Jeff, Informix Net for Windows could not locate the services for the Informix daemon. This is either due to the Informix service, usually the entry: sqlexec 1525/tcp for not being in the services file. Make sure that this service is in both the server and client PC. In the UNIX, it is located in the /etc/services. On the PC, this is located in the NetManage's directory, c:\\netmanage\\services. If this fails, then try setting the DOS environment variable set FTP_ETC=c:\\netmanage Informix Net For Windows seems to look for this environment to look for the services. This should help. Good Luck. Jessica Kung jesskung@technet.sg
