Onbar - IBM ADSM or HP Omniback?

We need to implement an auto changer DLT tape solution and are soliciting opinions concerning IBM ADSM or HP Omniback? Which package does the best job for archiving, logging, restores, etc. using Informix ONBAR? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each package? Is there a better package than these 2 for Informix archive management? Thanks for any comments, suggestions, advice, etc.
This is a trick question right? Unless you fully read the documentation for Informix backup and restore, you cannot fully appreciate what your backup and restore strategy *should* be with Informix or any other data base product. How you restore from the backup is everything. Every DBA on the planet should actually restore some data. It is a most enlightening experience. What kind of restore are you prepared to live with? Backups are almost a no brainer. But I challenge you to think about what kind of restore is important, because nobody will care about your backups until it comes time to use them. :-) To answer your question, I recommend ADSM if you can get it. It's easy to use, very flexible, and does exactly what you expect it to do. There are some bugs, or more appropriately, missing features, such as the inability to remove dead logical log backups, but I understand this may be fixed in the near future if not already.
