ROLES

I am in the process of setting up roles on my system. I fully understand the sql syntax at the Database Level. I am having difficulty setting up the "SET ROLE" statements in a 4gl program. I need the program to invoke a role for the entire duration it is running. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on Online 7.23UC4 & 4GL 6.05UD1.
