Hello, Is there a way to find, in Informix logs, changes (DDL) to database schema tables? For instance, when a new table is created or a column added/dropped from a table, is this information recorded in Informix tables/logs? Also, when reading into logical logs and searching for table information (DML information) is the TABID or PARTNUM or TABLE NAME recorded into these logs? Thanks _________________________________________________________________ MSN Dating: Find someone special. Start now. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9734384
Hello! Yes, every database command is logged (of course, if you're using a logged database type). On IDS 11.X you could check this link for more information: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v115/topic/com.ibm.adref.doc/id s_adr_0350.htm (you didn't post your OS and IDS versions) :P The partnum is always recorded, also... the documentation tells evertything ok? Hope it helps. Regards. DDL is logged and tables are identified by partnum. However, onlog doesn't
print out everything that's in the log records.
