Informix-CLI 2.8 and Informix Online 4.10

Hi, I have downloaded the Informix Client SDK (Informix-CLI 2.8) from the Intraware web site and want to use it against a Unix Informix-Online 4.10 database. I know the release notes say it only supports Online 5.x upwards, but has anyone got it working with 4.10 ? Thanks in advance. Tony
