Have you looked into Oracle's Developer/2000. It has native driver access into Oracle, Informix, Sybase, Rdb, SQL-Server, etc. and ODBC access into the rest. It is fully integrated with windows. It is Object-Oriented and has a central repository to facilitate the reuse of code. Allows VBX and OCX add-ins. Applications can be developed rapidly with increasing speed as code reuse is used. Note: I am not an employee of Oracle (nor, like someone the other day was) am I about to be. I have experience using PowerBuilder, ObjectView, Oracle's Tools, various reportwriters, as well as several 3gl's connecting into Oracle, Informix and Sybase. I do admit to a preference for Oracle, however. -- McKendry's Uncertainty Principle: At any given moment, one cannot be certain that any opinion is mine--much less SSC's or any client's.
