RE: DBIMPORT HANGS
Posted in 1999
Thanks for the hint, but it was not dued to full l;ogical logs. Recently
we found the
problem in de Informix documentation.
We als have a BLOB space in our database, and when you create a BLOB
space,
before you can start inserting data into that BLOB-space, you have to
switch to the next logical log
by executing the command:
onmode -l (or tbmode -l in earlier versions)
Informix want de creation of a BLOB space and the insertion of BLOBS in
that BLOB space
in seperate logical logs, otherwise he won't continue.
So, finally we found it, and hopefully this info is of any interest for
you guys too !
see you,
