We are on a Gold Bundle license, and have no plans to move to DB2 (we are however moving to Oracle) :-( -----Original Message----- From: owner-informix-list@iiug.org [mailto:owner-informix-list@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Captain Pedantic Sent: 28 November 2005 11:04 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: informix market share "rkusenet" <rkusenet@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:90tif.1379$wf2.116717@news20.bellglobal.com... > Well for other vendors it will be a loss to get informix customer for > a bargain price. Actually the Gold Bundle programme has been all-but-discontinued, as it was being used by sales teams as a vehicle for dressing up Informix maintenance renewals as Gold Bundle licence sales (sales teams get remunerated on new licence sales but not maintenance renewals). Here in Blighty I have never heard of an IDS customer moving to DB2. There are plenty of Informix users on Gold Bundles though! sending to informix-list
