Is there a way around to access the Infomix > table with the MS Access datatype CURRENCY? This is one of the old chestnuts. Informix has type 'money', Access has type 'currency'. Why don't they map? Because ODBC has no type money, so it cannot pass it through. A good ODBC driver should sort this and at least pass it through as some sort of decimal (Informix's money type is a special type of decimal), so that at least Access can manipulate the data as numeric. It shouldn't give the data back to Access as string in any case. This is not good. You could try our ODBC driver: SCO SQL-Retriever. Take a look at http://www.sco.com/vision/products/sqlretriever/ for more information and a downloadable eval. Allan Gould (allang at sco dot com) (Please remove anti-spam measures if replying)
