Customer 4915 qry prob

Informix Online DSA-7.11UC2 on NCR machine.
Following query returns no rows.
Select actg_set_seq,actg_dtl_seq, dr_cr, amt
FROM actg , company
WHERE
actg.company_cd = company.company_cd
AND company.parent_co_cd = "S"
AND actg.input_type[1] = "J"
AND ((actg.jrnl_mo <= 6
AND actg.jrnl_yr = 1997 )
OR (actg.jrnl_yr < 1997))
AND actg.sum_to_zero_indr <> "Y"
AND ((actg.reversal not in ("A","B")) OR
(actg.reversal is NULL))
AND actg.facct = "12345678"
and if I put one more AND CONDITION as shown below it returns rows.
return few rows.

Did oncheck on both the tables and no errors.
No. of rows actg = 4xxxxxx
company = 55
