I-Net Installation: Try this if you're having problems
Posted in 1996
I've been trying, off and on for the last 6 weeks to get I-Net working. Calls to Informix have produced nothing, other than "Sorry, we don't support Windows 95!" I finally got it working yesterday, and I thought I'd pass along something that you might try if you're having problems. My problem was that I'd receive the error message "blah database not found" when running ILOGIN.EXE. Obviously there was some communication between my PC and Informix if things got this far. The people at Informix never suggested that I might run SETNET (I gotta give them a break--Telephone Tech-Support can be difficult). In there, under the "More..." button is an option called "DbPath". Well, I installed the stores database somewhere other than in $INFORMIXDIR because I didn't want the demo stuff mixed in with production stuff. Putting the location of the stores.dbs directory into this DbPath field fixed things. Up came my list of customer names!!!
