Hi All, Just by pure chance I did something like: select table -- the first column is the name of the table from table ; and it works... It returned something like a row-type representation of each row. It looks interesting. Anyone knows where is this documented? (I'd like to read about it - quick look at documentation don't reveal much...). Also, char column are padded with blanks to a string of its length... why? IDS 11.50 xC2 (HP-UX and Windows) J.
I think it's here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v115/topic/com.ibm.sqls.doc/ids _sqs_0993.htm It's considered a row type expression... Regards. Yep it's covered under row types. A table name evaluate to a row type if in the projection clause. Thanks.
