Is this VB 5? If so, try changing your database access method. Use the remote database object (rdo) rather than the database access object (dao). The VB Help on this should give you the details. Here is an example: To connect: Set gsConn = New rdoConnection With gsConn .Connect = "uid=<uid>;pwd=<password>;dsn=<datasource name>" .EstablishConnection rdDriverNoPrompt, False End With To get data: qystring = "SELECT column1,column2 FROM tab1" Dim qy As New rdoQuery Dim rs As rdoResultset Set qy = New rdoQuery Set qy.ActiveConnection = gsConn qy.SQL = qystring Set rs = qy.OpenResultset Then go through the result set. I checked my rights and I have full access rights to the Informix database. Anyone have any ideas?
