They are not bad. But if you can, try to size the initial virtual + resident
portion to be *exactly* 1GB. That way, you get both the initial virtual and
resident portion in one segment. This can help performance, and offers you
the opportunity of adding one more virtual segment.
Just remember to alter your kernel config to allow a single shared memory
segment to be at least 1 GB.

It's not absolutely right. It's correct only in case when you use
shm_magic in other case you have 1Gb-(HP-UX shared libraries) in
third quadrant and 0.75Gb in forth quadrant and you never have
*exactly* 1GB ;-)
