Re: Informix for Linux Initiative

Gee, What a shameful plug! I mean, come on now. The poster wants to run the engine on Linux not just the front end! You know better than that! OK, now for a shameless plug :-) (Its the real reason I'm posting this!) There is a site: http://www.datad.com/linux_survey.html that has yet another Linux survey. (I saw a copy of a post in comp.os.linus.advocacy about this site.) I checked out the survey. Its pretty generic with a slight leaning towards databases. FYI, the last we spoke with Informix, they needed to see what the demographics were so that a certain VP could justify the go ahead for th port. Rumor has it, that this VP is also in some hot water for *other* things. Yet I digress. The survey also allows you to add your own comments. (Which is a nice thing.) -Just a tip from your favorite Uncle. BTW, the product may be a decent product. Maybe someone in the UK could try it out and make a review and post it?
