syscolumns table

hello in each DB, there is a syscolumns table. one of the columns in that table is called "Coltype". can someone point me to where i would find the table that will tell me the actual column type. the coltype field in syscolumns displays a SMALLINT. thanks

I'm not aware of any table within the database that stores those definitions. HTH -- June Hunt
