No, you could just always set it to the install dir of the development
tools, except when you want to run IDS tools like onstat. Even that would
work if the tool version is later than the IDS version so that the message
files would be compatible. You would just have to install a copy or link to
sqlhosts file in both directories or use INFORMIXSQLHOSTS to point to the
path where the file lives always if you only want to have one location for all.
