Problem with Linux client connecting to Solaris Informix Server

Hi all, I have a problem where the initial connection from a Linux client failing with the following error : DB connect failed: inf_open_conn: (25507) The specified service name or protocol is unknown. I believe this is something to do with the client not seeing that the DB (onsoctcp ) TCP session being dead. The app we use then retarts the session and everything is ok. Is there any timeout parameters for the ckient sdk that we can change to stop this occuring ?
