Trigger Reliability

I have two tables in a db that have exactly the same columns configured. One is relatively static in that it is a list of items with unique IDs and duplicates are not allowed. The second is a table that is a list of these items where duplicates are allowed. When a date column is updated in table one a trigger writes all the data from the updated row in the first table to a new row in the second table, or that is the way it is designed. All tests seemed to indicate that everything is working fine. The process was implemented about six(6) months ago and all indications are that everything is working fine (Transactions were watched rather closely for about four(4) months). The problem: In reviewing some data from Feb. 6, 1995 I found that the trigger date for one item was updated but a record was not written to the history table. Has anyone else experienced such a problem? If you have is there a fix? By the way I am runing OnLine 5.01 and I-SQL 4.11 -------------------- ***** JBT ***** ------------------ J. B.
