ontape restore problem

IDS Version 9.40.FC5 Unix version; Tru64 UNIX 5.1a I am trying to cold restore using ontape. I am getting following message. Continue restore? (y/n)y Do you want to back up the logs? (y/n)n Read/Write End Of Medium enabled: blocks = 5184391 Physical restore failed - buc_fe.c : Archive API processing failed at line 791 for msgtype Program over. any help will appreciate. That sounds like the archive file/tape has been corrupted. Can you restore from an earlier archive and roll forward the logical logs? Art Art S. - Are you using the same IDS version you used during the backup? - Are you using the same TAPE block size? - The tape size seems to be set to 0. Was it like that when the backup was done? Regards.
