Online 6.0 slower than 5.x. Why?

Informix Gurus, We recently upgraded to Informix Online 6.0 Dynamic server, on an IBM RS6000 running AIX 4.1.1. We recompiled all our sources using 6.0 tools (ESQL/C, 4GL). Now when our application runs, it seems too slow. The same application on a 5.0 system with a much bigger db, runs much faster. Our Online 6.0 sqlhosts file is as follows level3 onipcshm level3 level3 where level3 is the hostname. If I check the highest used process, an oninit process seems to average about 95% of the usage. At this point we are not using any of the data replication functionality. Is there something in our setup? Any way to speed things up? Any and all help on this matter appreciated. Thanx, Raj.
