ROM - How to ?

Hi, After installing ROM , when i try to use the tools . eg., the SQL tool i get the error message -956 , why is this ? Should i include entries in the /etc/hosts.equiv file ? Should i include entries in .rhosts file ? There is a PB application workin fine which accesses the DB and i saw an entry for that appl. in .rhosts.( It uses informix-I NET.).So , I tried including a similar entry for my id in the .rhosts file it did not work. What are the requisite entries to be made for ROM to work ? TIA Sathish
