Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
I do have a case open. I figured I would post to the group as well and
see if anyone else has had the problem. The af file did not produce
the normal stack trace it only has about 7 lines, basically a repeat of
the error in the online.log.

what happens when you oncheck this table and its indexes?
If that is clean, you copy the table to "new database" that contains
only this table and run the update stats command does it still fail? If
so that is probably quite a nice test case to send to Informix support
to reproduce the problem.

Ok, thank you I will give that a try today. I did run oncheck -cID on
the table as per the request of the informix tech support person. It
came back clean.
