I can crash 7.23 at will.
Posted in 1997
We have 4 PCs, dual Pentium II, 192MB RAM, 26GB disks, running SCO OSR 5.0.2
and ODS 7.23 UC1. All SCO patches are loaded.
They all have the same database schema, but different data.
I can constantly crash all 4 servers with a sequence of 3 insert statements.
The insert statement are really simple, but they trigger heavy duty stored
procedures (around 600 lines of SPL in 10 procedures).
I get :
23:39:53 Assert Failed: Internal Error - Segmentation Violation
23:39:53 Who: Session(12, root@prime, 525, -2050611476)
Thread(58, sqlexec, 85c4197c, 1)
23:39:53 Results: OnLine must abort
23:39:53 Action: Reinitialize shared memory
23:39:53 See Also: /tmp/af.3a1ac8, shmem.3a1ac8.0
23:40:49 rsinit.c, line 9949, thread 58, proc id 486, Segmentation
Violation.
23:40:49 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
The rsinit.c line number is always the same, but the proc id changes
randomly.
Any ideas, anyone? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
