Poul,
This is a known bug in 5.01. The npused goes negative after running a
update statistics on the database where the underlying data structurehas the negative value that you saw using tbcheck.
Upgrade to 5.03 as soon as you have tested it. In the meantime the
workaround is to update the negative npused values in systables to
have a positive value immediately after running update statistics. It
doesn't seem to matter what number you choose to put in just as long
as its positive. We used 20% of the number of rows which seemed to
work pretty well.
