Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I've been getting some wierd errors when running oncheck -cI against a
17mil row table.
I've dropped, recreated the table/indexes but continue to get the
following errors.
"could not check rowids and perform data <=> index check
"unknown error message 0"
We are running 7.11uc1 on HP 9.04 on a T500 with 4 cpus and 1.6 gig mem.
In talking with Informix, they told me to try reducing the NUMCPUVPS to
1 instead of 4. When I did this - everything was dog slow however the
oncheck -cI worked correctly.
In either case all other oncheck commands work fine!!
In the Informix admin book Informix recommends setting this value to one
less than the number of CPU's in the computer.
They also talk about running onstat -g glo and looking at the usercpu
and syscpu times together approaching 100% of the elapsed time while
running this command and looking at performance.
Can anyone give me some other guidelines for setting NUMCPUVPS and in
how to evaluate the onstat -g glo command...
P.S. We are also running on MTI Raid 5
Tks in advance...Ed
