You can have several nettypes - see your administrator's guide for nice clear examples. To: informix-list @ rmy.emory.edu cc: (bcc: Greg Salmon) Subject: Changing Nettypes Before I try this ... (INFORMIX On-Line 7.2 on Sparc Solaris) I've got a database setup on a machine using "onipcshm". I need for this database to talk to clients on other machines now. Can I change the nettype to "ontlitcp" or have multiple nettypes? Or do I have to create a new database and move the contents over? Thanks.
