Thanks for the answer. I'm using Informix Online version 5.x and there is no INFORMIXSERVER environment variable. The sqlhosts file exists and has the same server name cross-referenced. But I can't connect to the server at all! I keep getting -908 as the error. The problem could be that the server and my client are on the same machine. Is that a problem in this environment?
