Replication on IDS 7.31 Windows Nt 4.0 question

Hi We have 2 IDS servers 7.31 on Windows NT 4.0, which are replicated at table level, "Update Anyway" type rather than Source-->target. We had a issue when it comes to stopping the Replication. The opionion is, if we stop replication, via the GUI, then this is at server level e.g. if we stop replication on server 1 then the replication will still work from server 2 --> server 1 but not from server 1 --> server 2 . To fully stop replication both ways, it has to be done at server level i.e. on both. We had a problem recently where we had to shut one of the servers down(server 2 in this case). This was down longer than expected so the Logical Logs on server 1 rolled, when it came to replication the server 1 current logical Log in the syscdr database was at a Logical Log which no longer existed. Replication was stopped on server1 but a delete occurred on server 2 which replicated to server 1.
