VARCHAR in Informix-SE

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone could tell me if there is any way of supporting a VARCHAR2 datatype in an SE Database. I know the Informix documentations says no, but I wondered if anyone knew of a workaround. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Wicksey

You could fake it with a sub-table and some fancy programming. Art S. Kagel
