HELP!!! I have a customer running Online 5.01 UD3 on an RS6000. They have over 40 PCs running over Novell 3.11. Their primary business application was written in Uniface, using Uniface's Polyserver (an ESQL/C communications program) on the RS6000. The problem is that in order to run any client/server query tool, I must have I-Star on the server and I-Net on the client. I have not been able to get these communications components to talk to each other (I'm simply using "ilogin.exe"). When I specified "tcp" to I-Net, I received an error that it couldn't find a winsock.dll (which is true - I couldn't find one anywhere on their systems). When I specified "ipx" to I-Net, I received a -932 error. Further digging showed that version 5.01 of I-Net requires ipx/spx 3.26 How can I figure out the ipx/spx version? Is there any relationship to the version of Novell they are running? Can I copy a winsock.dll from some other environment? Would that work? What other options do I have? They do need adhoc access to the database from their PCs and no matter what product they would work with, I-Net is required. Rick Koril Midwest Software, Ltd.
